Con Edison customers billed under residential rates can use PowerYourWay to shop for electricity and natural gas from a variety of energy suppliers. And, they may also qualify for a 7% PowerMove discount off the Con Edison price for energy supply for two months. Energy suppliers sell electricity and/or natural gas to business and residential customers in New York City, Westchester County, and around the state. They are sometimes called ESCOs.

Remember, Con Edison is your energy delivery company; ESCOs are energy supply companies.

While you can explore alternative suppliers through PowerYourWay, Con Edison does not send salespeople to your door or have them call your home or business. We want to remind you that ESCOs do not represent Con Edison. Representatives from ESCOs authorized by the New York Public Service Commission may visit or call your home or business to discuss their services with you. You should never show them your Con Edison bill or reveal your account number unless you are ready to make a switch to an ESCO. Switching to a different supplier is your choice. You are not required to choose an ESCO and there are no deadlines for making a move to an ESCO. So make the energy choice that makes sense for you.
